New River Gorge Preserve
DESCRIPTIONIf streams, rock, and forest are as important as the house you build in a quality, protected environment, the New River Gorge Preserve is for you. The Preserve community is committed to maintaining our magnificent Appalachian forest environment. We have carved a limited number of home sites into the landscape, taking care to preserve the maximum amount of tree cover. We are stewards of the land. It is our goal to safeguard the vast majority of the Preserve as natural forest. Our land management plan includes inventorying plants and trees, monitoring their condition from year to year, and taking preventive or restorative measures to maintain their health.
The Preserve Conservancy, a 700-acre conservation easement along the southwestern border of the New River Gorge National River, will ensure that our six-mile portion adjacent to the Gorge remains a haven for outdoor enthusiasts who cherish the wild nature of this region MARLA'S TAKEThis is close to downtown Fayetteville which is a pretty hip little town. I like that. There are some very nice lots and some infrstructure is in place. Houses are being built. I´d say this has been the most consistent development as far as delivering on what was promised...so far. Owner is doing a nice job of keeping lots wooded and private. I do like the ARB guidleines. |
